Digital Sign Priorities
- Standard advertising spots are 5 seconds in duration.
- The first priority for sign content is to support Chamber activities.
- The second priority for sign content is to support our Corporate Sponsors over the next 2 years.
- The third priority is to support critical public service announcements (i.e. City Council meetings, street closings, water line shut-offs, change in trash pick-up days, school closings, voting days and places, etc).
- The fourth priority is to create a revenue stream from advertising and announcements.
- The basic Chamber Member logo with one contact type (address, phone or website) will be cycled to the sign at least once per hour as a Member benefit.
- Non-profit spots will be addressed individually. As a basic rule of thumb, fundraisers are chargeable and give-aways are not.
- The Chamber prefers not to run political advertising spots. Accepted spots will include only the candidate name, office candidacy is for, political party represented and election date. Not slogans or platform points will be allowed.
- All paid advertisers will have a quantity limit so the Chamber Sign will not be seen or associated with any predominate entity, i.e. it will not be seen as the McLoud Schools sign or a Casino Sign.
- The Chamber does not have a paid person at this time to program the sign nor to sell advertising. In general, new advertising spots will require a one week lead time to enter the schedule after contracts and artwork requirements have been completed. Critical public service announcements will be done on the first available opportunity to update the sign.
